37-mm M3A1 on Okinawa
While ineffective in Europe, the 37 mm M3A1 anti-tank gun still had value in the Pacific Theater. Its compact size and comparatively light weight allowed it to be manhandled to engage pillboxes and caves with armor-piercing, high explosive, and canister rounds. It remained effective against Japanese tanks as well.
