Europe: Mosquito bombers destroy Gestapo HQ in Copenhagen; bombs acci­dentally dropped on nearby school kill 86 pupils and 17 teachers.
8th USAAF attacks Me 262 bases in Western Germany.

Western Front

Ludwigshafen captured by Americans.
