Serbia: AUSTRIANS ENTER BELGRADE after Serb evacuation follows bitter street fighting (city’s fall cost 7,000 Austrian casualties).
AUSTRIANS INVADE MONTENEGRO.
Isonzo: Austrian attack repulsed.

Western Front

Loos: Fighting. Haig tells Lord Haldane Field Marshal French’s mishandling of reserves cost success.

African Fronts

South Tunisia: General Boyer’s 2,000 French soldiers defeat Ben Asker at Wadi north of Nekrif, but Senussi leader disowned attacks on October 13.
