Poland – KATYN MASSACRES: German News Agency reports discovery of mass graves of 10,000 Polish officers in Katyn Forest, near Smolensk; claims they were murdered in 1940 by the Soviet Secret Police.


Tunisia: British 8th Army occupies Sousse, north of Sfax.
