WW2 War Diary for Tuesday, December 2, 1941:

Eastern Front

Operation Barbarossa: German infantry detachment reaches Khimki tram station, 19 km from centre of Moscow, but is repulsed by Russian ‘home guards’ (Opolchenie).

Sea War

Pacific:Force Z‘ – battleship Prince of Wales, battlecruiser Repulse and 4 destroyers – arrive at Singapore (planned inclusion of carrier Indomitable is impossible because of accidental damage).
