Malaya: British and Commonwealth forces withdraw to Singapore Island and blow up 1-km-Iong Causeway across Johore Street.


Eire: Government of Irish Republic protests against landing of US troops in North Ireland – which represents a ‘Violation’ of Eire’s neutrality and recognition of the ‘Quisling‘ regime in Ulster.
