US M3 light tank shown on delivery to Britain. Called by the British Stuart I this vehicle was one of the first weapons delivered in hugh numbers under the lease-lend bill.

Thai-Vichy French Frontier Agreement signed aboard Japanese warship in Gulf of Siam (following serious border clashes in January).

Bomb explodes in luggage of Mr. Rendel, late British Minister to Bulgaria, at Istanbul hotel: Rendel unhurt, but 4 others killed.
