Ju 87 Stukas attack shipping in Straits of Dover and Thames Estuary, sinking 1 ship. Hurricane fighter squadron drives off the raiders. RAF bomb Munich.

British SS Cambridge and American SS City of Rayuille sink on minefield laid in Bass Street, south of Australia by German raider Passat (November 7-8). Port of Melbourne temporarily closed.
