German PoWs of British paratroopers
German soldiers are marched into captivity under the guard of British paratroopers in the Arnheim-Nijmegen area in September.

Western Front

Allied ground and airborne forces link up at Nijmegen. Polish Division reaches river Scheldt along 10-km front.
