Holland: Admiral Helfrich appointed C-in-C of all Dutch forces in Far East and Southwest Pacific.

Politics

Turkey: Exchange of wounded British and Italian PoWs at Smyrna; 60 British for 344 Italian. 4 similar exchanges take place (last June 2, 1943).
