Eastern Front

Southern sector: Russian armoured spearheads only 13 km from Kharkov.
Central sector: Russian troops recapture Medya, west of Maloyaroslavets.

Sea War

Atlantic: U-boat ‘ace’ Lt.-Cdr. Lueth, of U-43, attacks Convoy ON.55 during severe storm and sinks 3 ships.
