Western Front

1st Canadian Army captures Breskens on Scheldt Estuary.


British 8th Army crosses river Savio, south of Ravenna.

Air War

Germany: Allied Air Forces bomb Hamm, Neuss, Hamburg and numerous targets across the Reich by day and night (losses nil).
