Sea War

Mediterranean: Force ‘H’ (including reconstructed battleships Valiant and Warspite) transferred from Scapa Flow to Oran and Alexandria in preparation for Operation Husky (June 17-23).

Occupied Territories

Western Europe: BBC warns civilians to evacuate vicinity of factories working for Germany (similar warnings to Belgian, Dutch and Hungarian civilians broadcast later).
