WW2 War Diary for Saturday, May 22, 1943:

Air War

Germany: Adolf Galland, fighter ‘ace’ and ‘General of Fighters’, test-flies Me 262 jet fighter. He reports to Luftwaffe QMG Milch that if mass production of the jet is begun immediately, Germany can regain air superiority.
